Journeys to Paradise was founded by Rick Long, a 38-year travel management veteran. Rick has traveled to Hawaii more than 120 times. He has been appropriately called The Hawaii Expert by friends and associates. According to Rick, “Hawaii is fittingly called America’s Paradise and is a major destination for our customers, but Mexico, Costa Rica, the South Pacific and Asia, and cruises, both ocean and river, are also very popular. Americans are venturing further afield to discover the wonderful world and diverse cultures around us.”

Rick’s sales and marketing background and extensive experience gives him a unique perspective when it comes to helping our customers design their perfect vacation, honeymoon, incentive program, fundraiser or special interest group. He views travel as an educational experience as well as a well-deserved getaway from life’s many stresses. Rick cautions travelers to err on the side of spending a bit more than anticipated rather than skimping on travel purchases. “A cheap vacation can be an expensive mistake if one returns home feeling like he or she still needs a vacation,” Rick says. “We take great care to find good values rather than cheap vacations for our customers. Value is important to travelers at all spending levels.”
